Westernization of Clothing

This image clearly deliniates the adaptation of westernized clothing to the King Island community, after the arrival of the Jesuits.

The woman in the back left is not dressed in the same traditional garb as the other subjects of this photo.

This group of King Islanders has adopted a  westernized style of dress. The man's suit jacket and his boots, and the woman and child's wardrobe fully display the evolution in clothing.
